Zoe is a personal assistant. Her entire job is remembering things you tell her — so we want to be plain about what that means for your information.

What we collect

We collect what you give us: your email address when you create an account or join the waitlist, and the notes, commitments, files, and other content you choose to record with Zoe. If you choose to enable text-message reminders, we also collect the mobile phone number you provide for that purpose. Providing a phone number is optional and is never required to create an account or use the application.

How we use it

Your information is used to provide the service to you: storing your records, syncing them across your devices, and sending you the reminders and follow-ups you asked for. Waitlist email addresses are used only to contact you about access to Zoe.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
• No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and text-messaging opt-in data are not shared with anyone for marketing.
• We do not send marketing or bulk text messages. Text messages are individual reminders and follow-ups about items you recorded.

Text messaging

If you opt in to text reminders, Zoe will send SMS messages to the number you provided. Message frequency varies based on the reminders you set — if you record no reminders, you receive no messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and get help by replying HELP. Opting out of text messages does not affect your account or the rest of the service.

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run Zoe — such as cloud hosting and database services, email delivery, and text-message delivery. They process your information only to provide the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Your data is yours

Zoe's records exist for you. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by contacting us at the address below, and we will do so.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your records is the core of this product, and we treat it that way.

Children

Zoe is for adults. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
